Decorate A Baby's Room Beautifully and Inexpensively Using Removeable Vinyl Lettering

My wife and I recently had twin girls, even before the babies were born, we knew that we needed a special room for daddies little girls. We first started with the colors. Pink and a medium brown were the colors we fell in love with. We wanted to find a way to add some cute messages, and add some charm to the room - but wanted something we could change easily and inexpensively as our daughters grew.

We came across the idea of using vinyl lettering to add wall words to the room. Knowing that vinyl lettering is not permanent, we quickly found eight glass picture frames and added our daughters names using some vinyl lettering in our favorite fonts. These went on a shelf above each of their cribs.

Next, we added the words of a favorite children's poem along the top of the room as a border, alternating the color of the vinyl lettering with either brown or pink in opposition to the color of the wall. Adding the vinyl lettering was a snap and literally took us less than a half an hour to do the entire room.

This non-permanent art completely added life to the room without hurting our pocket books (i.e. less than $50). We also added decorative ends using vinyl to each of the photos that hung on the wall. Mirrors were decorated with vinyl wall art along with the door.

We also wanted to add a message of "Love" to the room. So, using some custom vinyl lettering we added some lettering to the wall. We put the word "Love" in the background, with an overlay on top which read, "Where There Is Great Love, There Are Always Miracles". As the babies grow and their interests change, this lettering can be removed, and new lettering or themes installed without damaging the painted walls.

My friend, who lives in an apartment has also decided to get some vinyl lettering to decorate her daughters room. She has had a hard time decorating, because as a renter, she can't paint, or make permanent changes to the walls. Since vinyl lettering is not permanent, and doesn't damage the walls, it's a perfect solution for those who rent.
